DAY 1. DEPART AUSTRALIA

DAY 2. ARRIVE WINDHOEK

Welcome to diverse Namibia! Enjoy a group welcome dinner this evening. [D]

DAY 3. WINDHOEK

Today we’ll take a city tour of the capital, including a visit to the Old Brewery Craft Centre – a great place for souvenirs! [B]

Special Experience: This afternoon we’ll visit Na’ankuse Lodge for a carnivore feeding tour. 

DAY 4. WINDHOEK – SOSSUSVLEI

We travel west through the vast Namib Desert to Sossusvlei. [B,D]

DAY 5. SOSSUSVLEI

An incredible day! As the sun rises we’ll travel to the highest dunes on earth at Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, and visit Sesriem Canyon.

Enjoy a walk through the dunes, past white claypan trees estimated to be around 900 years old.

We’ll then take an evening sundowner drive to view the local flora and fauna and enjoy a spectacular sunset. [B,D]

DAY 6. SOSSUSVLEI – SWAKOPMUND

This morning we make our way to Swakopmund, a German colonial town on the west African coast. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure or take an optional scenic flight over the Swakopmund coastline. [B]

DAY 7. SWAKOPMUND

Special Experience: Indulge in fresh local oysters and snacks on a scenic cruise of Walvis Bay, searching for dolphins, seals and pelicans. [B,L]

DAY 8. SWAKOPMUND – DAMARALAND

We head north to Damaraland via Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain. Later this afternoon we’ll head out in search of the area’s famous desert-adapted elephants. [B,D]

DAY 9. DAMARALAND – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

This morning we visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Twyfelfontein, where we see the rock art on a Zieben Plate walk.

Next we’ll visit the Petrified Forest and a typical Himba village on our way to Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s most diverse wildlife reserves. [B,D]

DAY 10. ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

We continue our journey to the other side of Etosha National Park by 4WD safari vehicle, heading eastward towards Botswana’s Okavango Delta. The fascinating landscapes and wide variety of wildlife will offer a great day of game and scenery viewing. [B,D]

DAY 11. ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Our day is devoted to viewing the abundant array of wildlife found in the park on morning and late-afternoon game drives. [B,D]

DAY 12. ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK – KAVANGO REGION

We travel north to the Kavango region.

Special Experience: Visit a San village run by the Ombili Foundation. Here 350 San people live on a farm where market crafts are made by the community.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll cruise the Kavango River, observing daily life over sundowners. [B,D]

DAY 13. KAVANGO REGION – CAPRIVI STRIP

We venture deep into the Divindu region. Its three distinct habitats make it a haven for wildlife. This afternoon we’ll enjoy a cruise and sundowner on the Kavango River. [B,D]

DAY 14. CAPRIVI STRIP

An early start for wildlife spotting on a morning game drive. We’ll then return to the lodge for lunch and time to relax. [B,D]

DAY 15. CAPRIVI STRIP – MAUN

We cross the border and travel to the southern edge of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta on earth. [B,D]

DAY 16. MAUN – MOREMI GAME RESERVE

We venture into the heart of the delta to Moremi Game Reserve. For the next two nights, we’ll camp out in the reserve and experience the real Africa. [B,L,D]

DAY 17. MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Moremi is one of Africa’s most beautiful reserves and boasts one of the world’s most rich and diverse ecosystems. Today we’ll spot the plentiful fauna on morning and afternoon game drives and a motorboat cruise through the lagoons of the delta. [B,L,D]

DAY 18. MOREMI GAME RESERVE – NATA

Special Experience: Take a scenic flight over the incredible Okavango Delta. During the short flight to Maun, enjoy breathtaking views of the delta’s expanded waterways, white claypans and palm-lined lagoons.

Our afternoon is at leisure. [B,D]

DAY 19. NATA – CHOBE

This morning we explore the fascinating Makgadikgadi Pans before travelling to Chobe, one of the largest parks in Botswana and home to the greatest concentration of elephants on earth! [B,D]

DAY 20. CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

We explore Chobe National Park on a morning game drive and an afternoon river safari along the Chobe River, with time to relax in between. [B,D]

DAY 21. CHOBE – VICTORIA FALLS

We cross the border and travel to Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall. Tonight we’ll relax on a sunset cruise of the Zambezi River. [B]

DAY 22. VICTORIA FALLS

A morning guided walk takes us through lush rainforest to the spectacular thundering falls. Explore the trails and take in the amazing view from the 16 viewing points! [B,D]
 

Special Experience: Enjoy a boma dinner, with traditional dancing and drumming, our farewell to Africa.

DAY 23. VICTORIA FALLS

ETOSHA SAFARI LODGE, WESTERN ETOSHA

Etosha Safari Lodge offers lavish views, a deck and dining area and airy rooms with your own verandah. Here you can open doors to the mystery and magic of Etosha. All rooms have air conditioning and mosquito nets, and a choice of three swimming pools between them. Apart from the restaurant and bar there is also a wooden platform from which you can enjoy sundowners high above the Mopani bush.

MOKUTI ETOSHA LODGE, EASTERN ETOSHA

The Mokuti Lodge is only four minutes-drive from the Von Lindequist Gate near Fort Namutoni and is located on its own private 4,000 hectare nature reserve, sharing a common border with Etosha Wildlife Reserve. All rooms combine European luxury with traditional African charm, flaunted as thatched roof chalets.

HAKUSEMBE RIVER LODGE, KAVANGO REGION

SHAMETU RIVER LODGE, CAPRIVI STRIP

Shametu River Lodge is located in close proximity to the Botswana Mohembo border which is the gateway to the well-known Chobe Game Reserve in Botswana. The thatched-roof luxury chalets lend themselves to privacy and peaceful surroundings and feature en-suite bathrooms with excellent views of the river.

MAUN LODGE, MAUN

PRIVATE CAMPSITE, MOREMI NATIONAL PARK

Private campsites within the National Park are equipped with Bow or Wilderness tents and all bedding including camp bed, mattress, duvet, blankets, pillows, towels, bedside table and paraffin lamp. Each tent also includes a private bucket shower and box toilet. All meals are prepared by a competent bush chef and served in the dining tent. An authentic African camping experience!

NATA LODGE, MAKGADIKGADI PANS

An oasis set among the Mokolwane palms on the edge of the pans, Nata Lodge is ideally situated close to the entrance of the Nata Sanctuary and is just off the main road, 10 km from Nata village. Nata Lodge offers luxury African-style chalets each with an en-suite bathroom including an indoor bath and outdoor shower. Amenities include an la carte restaurant, bar/lounge area and a stunning swimming pool.

CHOBE SAFARI LODGE, CHOBE

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. On its doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
